Front Wheel Drive Mayhem - Results
First of all, Thanks to everyone who braved the cold to be with us last night. We had a total of 62 entries on The Mountain for Front Wheel Drive Mayhem.
The Laurel Termite and Pest Control FWD division
17 cars enter for the $1000 to win pay day. Dustin Duncan out of Robbins, TN set fast time in hot lap qualifying at 15.633. Duncan and Raymond Fuson out Williamsburg, KY picked up wins in the heat races to set the front row for the 20 lap feature event. Duncan lead the first two laps of the feature before his engine let go coming out of turn 4 ending his night. Caleb Humphries inherited the lead but was not able to hold of Fuson. Fuson took the lead on lap 7 and lead the rest of the way securing his first win of 2026 at Thunder Mountain Speedway.
Pro Late Models
12 Pro Late Models entered the $1500 win event. Logan Walls out of Junction City, KY set fast time in hot lap/qualifying at 13.304. Walls and Kirby Chitwood out Oneida, TN won the heat races to set front row for the feature. Walls lead flag to flag to pick up his first win at Thunder Mountain Speedway for 2026.
Open Wheel Mods
12 mods entered last night's event. Logan Parriman out of Somerset, KY set fast time at 14.414. Parriman and Ben Petrey out of Corbin, KY won the heat races to set the front row for the feature. Petrey lead flag to flag to pick up his first win at Thunder Mountain Speedway in 2026.
Hobby Stock
15 Hobby Stocks was on hand last night. Brayden Noble out of Tyner, KY set fast time at 15.564. Noble and Bo Gilley out of Williamsburg, Ky picked up the heat race wins to set the front row of the 15 laps feature. Noble lead flag to flag to pick up his second win of the 2026 season at Thunder Mountain Speedway.
Corbin Whole Sale Jr. Front Wheel Drive
The division continues to grow as 6 Corbin Whole Sale Jr. FWD were on hand last night. Easton Ray out of Morristown, TN set quick time at 15.968. Ray and Devin Ball out of Corbin, KY brought the field to the start. Ray lead the first two laps before Ball made contact with the inside wall bringing out the caution. While under caution Ray suffered mechanical failure and had to retire from the race. Brayden Fuson inherited the lead. Fuson went on to lead the rest of the race but fought off challenges from Maddie Partin. This was Fuson's first career win and a lot better from his first outing. First week out Fuson about got upside down in turn 2.
