Blue Collar Brawl - Results
First of all thank you to each driver, crew, and fan that came out to our season opener. We had 85 entries on the night for the Blue Collar Brawl. Hobby stocks were the featured class on the night for $1,000 to win and they showed up!
Hobby Stocks - 21 Entries
Brayden Noble out of Tyner, KY set fast time at 15.430 in hot lap/qualifying. Noble and Nick Collins out of Millstone, Ky picked up the heat race wins to set the front row of the 20 lap feature. Noble was able to lead flag to flag beating Collins by .370 seconds.
604 Crate Late Models - 20 Entries
Josh Brock out of Corbin, KY set fast time at 12.792 in hot lap/qualifying. Brock and Ace Claborn out of Albany, KY won the heat races to set the front row of the 25 lap feature. A massive pile up happened in turn on the first start and the field was stacked back up for another start. Brock made contact with someone on the second start and cut a tire down. Claborn and Caleb Todd battle for the lead until Todd was able to secure the lead and hold off to pick up the $1,200 to win pay day. Brock was able to rally back and finish 2nd after going to rear at the beginning of the race.
Open Wheel Mods - 14 Entries
Ben Petrey out of Corbin, KY set fast time a 13.395 during hot lap/qualifying. Petrey and Josh Hampton out of Crab Orchard, KY picked up the heat race wins to set the front row of the 20 lap feature. Hampton went on to pick up the win and the $1,000.
Laurel Termite & Pest Control FWD - 19 Entries
Jim Rowland out of Rockholds, KY set fast time at 15.527 during hot lap/qualifying. Rowland and Jacob Gibson out of Corbin, KY won the heats to set the heat race wins. When the feature rolled out, Rowland and Gibson was given two chances to start the race so the 2nd row was moved up to start the 15 lap feature. Rowland and Gibson was able to get back to front and put on a show and hard racing. Gibson went on to win and pick up the $400 pay day.
KDRA Super Stock - 5 entries
Blake Brown out of Corbin, KY set fast time at 13.832 during hot lap/qualifying. Brown picked up the heat race and went on to win the feature event. T.J. Smith out of Albany, KY finished second and Vernon Lowe out of Oneida, TN finished third.
Corbin Whole Sale JR. FWD - 6 Entries
Easton Ray set fast time in hot laps but it did not set the front row for the feature. Feature line up was determined by a sack race by the dad's or fill in for each driver. Easton Ray was able to take a lead but Brayden Fuson was starting to run him down when Fuson drove in too hard and collected the wall ending his night. Ray was able to go on to pick up the win and the bonus money from K7 Motorsports.
