Dash for Cash Results
First of all, Thank you to each fan, driver, and crew member that came out to our pop-up race this past Saturday.
We had 65 cars on the grounds, 16 Pro Late Models, 14 Mods, 4 KRDA Super Stocks, 14 Hobby Stocks, 10 FWD, 5 Crown Vics, and 2 Jr. FWD.
Late Models - Sean Harris out of Huntsville, TN set fast time in qualifying at 13.785. Derrick Meadors and Shawn Hibbard won the heats to set the front row of the 25 lap feature event. Wesley Brummett of Harrodsburg, KY picked up his very first feature win with Clay Turner, Derrick Meadors, Tyler Hayes, Shawn Hibbard rounding out the top 5.
Open Wheel Mods - Virgil Parriman out of Somerset, KY set fast time in hot lap/qualifying at 15.887. Parriman also picked up heat race #1 win by .008 seconds. Heat race #2 was also barn burner with Craig Stykes picking up the win. Parriman and Stykes were set to lead to field to green but Parriman suffer mechanical issues and elected to start on the rear. Ben Petrey of Corbin, Ky picked up another win on the season as he led all 20 laps of the feature event. Ross Burnett, Jason Saylor, Craig Stykes, nd Ronnie Bryant rounded out the top 5.
KDRA Super Stocks - TJ Smith out of Albany, KY made a clean sweep of the evening setting fast time in hot lap/qualifying at 16.008, picked up the heat and feature win. Greg Hensley, Daniel Stamper and Dan Deaton rounded out the rest of the field in the feature.
Hobby Stocks - Connor Stewart out Manchester, KY set fast time in hot lap qualifying at 16.419. Stewart and Karr picked up heat race wins to set the front row of the 15 lap feature. Karr was able to get under Stewart on the white flag lap in turn 3 & 4 and pick up the win by .011 seconds over Stewart. Brayden Noble, Jason Callebs and Ben Petrey rounded out the top 5.
FWD - Raymond Fuson out of Williamsburg, KY set fast time in hot lap qualifying at 16.387 and pick up the heat race win. Fuson and Kawasaki set the front row of the feature event. After leading the first 6 laps, Fuson and Gibson made contact in turn 4 ending Fuson's night. Jacob Gibson went on to pick up the win with Kawasaki, Leach, Hurd, and Brandon Smith rounding out the top 5.
Crown Vic - Matthew Shupe of Rockholds, KY set fast time in hot lap qualifying. Jacob Shupe picked up the heat race win and Joshua Shupe won the 15 lap feature. Justin Walton, John Kidwell, Jacob Shupe, and Matthew Shupe rounded out the top 5.
Jr. FWD - Skyler Hayes of Rockholds, KY set fast time in qualifying and picked up another feature win on the season in the 10 lap feature. Easton Ray out of Morristown, TN finished 2nd.
